Happy Hump Day

What was I thinking when I thought getting up at 5:30 am was a good idea? Oh sure, I’ve walked nearly 5 miles today, did a few hours of YouTube recording, done some grocery shopping, helped a friend with their website and drafted up tomorrow’s email – but I am exhausted and it is only 8 pm. I’m going to have to start drinking more coffee or doing more drugs, as this being productive all-day thing is a lot of work!

Right now, my feet are aching (from the walking), my back hurts from the sitting and my head hurts because my back and fee hurt. Tonight I am not at my best I am really looking forward to a fresh start tomorrow. I have a ton of things I would like to have given my attention tonight, but I know that sometimes it is best to just call it a day.

Sometimes I will fight it and work through the pain and exhaustion, but other times I know that it is better to just acknowledge my limitations and end the day early. And that is today!

Ending the day early means I can get up earlier. I find I have more energy in the morning — so a few extra hours or minutes in the morning is way more useful than a few additional hours of mediocre work at the end of the day.

Tomorrow is another new day to start all over.
