Today was a whirlwind of a day. Full morning of recording and prepping for more. And then I set about re-arranging furniture. This is a crazy thing to do in the middle of the week, but I have been putting it off for days.
My desk has been sitting in front of my window – and I have LOVED watching the humming birds outside my window and seeing the sun shine through onto my desk. But in the last few months as I have been doing more recording, the window is not great for the sound quality. Not only do I pick up more noises from outside, I also get a tin-can sound because I am next to the window. Of course! I could cover the windows with sound proof foam – and I considered it — for a moment. But these windows are why I love my place, they face the patio and I get sun the living room! I enjoy the light. So the desk has to be moved. I’ve spent my day — all day in fact, moving furniture. My desk in now in it’s new home, in my dining area. I still have work to do to organize all the stuff that was displaced in the move. But I can sit and write this – and prep for my morning video. I am going-live at 4:30 am tomorrow. Craziness!
As I sit here, amid the swirl of chaos that I created moving objects around the house – I can tell that I am going to like this spot. I just feels right. I would share a photo, but I am simply embarrassed of my mess, so I’ve included a photo of the toy plane I saw dangling over a fence on my walk this morning. I am not sure what the story is there, but I couldn’t pass it by without grabbing a picture. Enjoy!
My apologies for the short note today, but I missed the window to do it earlier today, and now I have a good deal of work to get done before I sign-off for the night. I’ll be back at it tomorrow. And I’ll share pics of the new set up once I’ve cleared the debris. Have a lovely evening!
